Western Suburbs Australian Football Club is an Australian rules football club competing in the Sydney AFL league. The club is based in the inner west of Sydney, New South Wales, and its senior teams played their home games at Henson Park in 2009 and 2010 but will return to their spiritual home of Picken Oval, next door to their social club, in 2011. The club, which became the first licensed Australian rules football club in New South Wales in 1962, is located in Croydon Park, next to Picken Oval.

ABOUT MANCINIS:

Eric Mancini, founder of Mancinis Restaurant, migrated to Australia with his family by boat when he was just 4 years old. His family brought with them the love of food and the traditions of Naples, Italy.

Food was a great part of Eric’s life growing up as was hospitality which he learned working in his parents’ function centre. When he decided to open his own restaurant in 1992 his mother, the late Anna Mancini, worked in the kitchen as Head Chef. Her traditional knowledge of Italian cuisine, passed on to her by earlier generations, and her utilisation of specific ingredients helped to produce quality food. Anna’s methods are still used today in all our cooking. Eric Mancini was one of the first in Australia to introduce the woodfired oven all the way from Naples his birth town.

Having been established in Belfield for over 22 years, Mancinis is indeed an icon of Belfield. People come from all over Sydney to experience our traditional pizzas and delicious food. Eric’s mission is to offer his patrons  the best Italian food with great service in a warm and inviting environment

Welcome to CPX (as we are known). We’re a small but very friendly club where everyone knows everyone.  Take the time to come and try us out – we have new chefs Ian & Ingrid, who have proven to be fabulous, especially with their traditional Sunday Roast – it is to die for.  We also offer bingo Tuesday, Thursday and on Saturdays plus we have meat raffles and membership draws. On the last sunday of every month between 2 – 6pm, we have free entertainment so come on over, have a Sunday roast, then sit back and relax with free entertainment. Too many years ago to remember a couple of young lads began working together at a country Hotel in Victoria.  John Lewis and Peter Ashelford developed a life long friendship and passion for the hospitality industry.  When the opportunity arose to purchase their own Pub, some 10 years ago, in Kogarah they jumped at it, and Lewis Hotels was born.

At Lewis Hotels we pride ourselves on being part of the community and look to welcome all patrons to our venues like we would welcome friends to our lounge room.  Lewis Hotels venues are sophisticated yet with a warm glow appealing to the broad spectrum of consumers in our market.

Our Hotels when purchased, are typically run down venues full of cheer but in need of a vision to bring them into the 21st century.  The Hotels are refurbished using our own internal team of trades with close supervision by John Lewis to ensure the Lewis Hotels exacting standards are met in order to meet the incresaed demands patrons are placing on Hoteliers to deliver a venue and markedly improved service standards.  The Hotels are fitted out to a level that often sets a new benchmark in the markets we operate.  We tend not to meaasure our performance by comparison with those around us, we prefer to measure our performance against what we would expect as a customer and what we deliver to a customer.
