STATE GOVT PROPOSES COUNCIL MERGERS

The current State Government proposes a new Sydney-Central Metropolitan Council through the merger of Local Councils.

All NSW Councils (excluding Far West) have been asked to do a self-assessment and submission to State Government by 30 June 2015.

Experience Croydon Park Festival Program

For Child Protection Week 2014 our Chamber was proud to partner with Burwood Council, Burwood Chamber, Burwood FACS, NSW Scouts, and local services to launch a kit to help local businesses play their part under the theme ‘Protecting children is everyone’s business’.

About 60 people gathered for a breakfast launch at Burwood Park on Tue 9 Sept, and 100 kits were distributed to businesses along Burwood Rd.

The e-kit is now available below, and we encourage all local businesses to consider how they can further play their part to keep children loved, safe, and healthy, with a sense of belonging in our community.
